1. Dental Implant Continuing Education
Genesis offers this course for dentists looking to learn or expand their existing knowledge on the successful and predictable restoration of dental implants. Compared to dentures, dental implants have been in more demand in recent years making knowledge of this field helpful and critical.
An effective dental implant involves a fragile balance between soft tissue, hard tissue and aesthetic, all of which is covered in this course. There is both a lecture and physical component to this course to ensure that the participant completely understands the concepts and learning objectives.
More specifically, this course covers the following learning objectives: case selection, patient communication, importance of records, complication management, surgical treatment and dental team communication, among many other topics.
As a dentist, you are likely concerned with your continuing education hours and credits, as you should be! By completing this Genesis course, you will obtain at least 49 hours of continuing education credits.
2. Endodontic Continuing Education
This Genesis course is designed for intermediate and advanced general dentists who have been exposed to comprehensive hands-on training. The purpose of this course is to strengthen a dentist’s ability to perform root canals. A requirement of this course is that you understand the root canal procedure.
A major learning objective of this course is to teach dentists how to perform root canals with less stress and better efficiency. In addition, dentists will learn about the following topics: endo diagnosis, pain and infection management, single visit endo and obturation, as well as several other endodontic themes.
All of the topics of this course are covered through a series of lectures and workshops. For this Genesis course, you will obtain 17 continuing education credits as a dentist.
3. Dentist Surgical Courses – Regenerative Therapies
Genesis offers this course to teach dentists how to enhance potential implant sites where bone and soft tissue are lacking. Three techniques are covered in this course to achieve the learning objective: autogenous bone block grafts, guided bone regeneration (GBR) and natural bone regeneration (NBR).
This course is taught over two days and will provide you with 14 continuing education credits. The first day is a lecture that discusses topics such as how the body heals itself, differences between GBR and NBR, case presentations to demonstrate clinical techniques, among other topics.
The second day is a workshop whereby the participants will be performing hands on procedures. The hands on component of this course will make you feel confident in what you have learned and your capabilities!
